Big news! Julia took 10 steps this weekend. It came out of nowhere. Saturday she took three and later took four. Sunday she started to take a few steps and before we knew it, she was up to 10. Momentum was a definite factor with the last few steps but she didn't fall on her face or trip over her feet. She hasn't taken that many steps since but we're getting four or so in every once in a while.

Last Friday was our Tiny Tots checkup. Nothing exciting to report. Julia weighs 20lbs 15.5oz. I'll go ahead and round that up to 21lbs.

Feeding therapy has made some progress. But let me define "progress." Julia has reached the point where Ms. Stacey can touch her face, lips, and frequently put her finger in PJ's mouth. For those fortunate enough to be clueless on feeding problems, feeding by mouth begins with trust. Can't get a kid to eat if she doesn't like you touching her face.

Julia has picked up a couple of new words. Duck and night-night. She has also learned a couple of new sounds. Darrin will ask her "what does a chicken say?" PJ responds with "bawka bawka bawka." Same thing with cow. We get a short "moo" out of her.
